The British sign language series follows two deaf students visiting the death camps at Auschwitz. It is well known that the Jews and Gypsies were targets of Hitler's 'final solution', but the fate of deaf people is less publicised. Considered disabled by the Nazis, German deaf people were initially sterilised, then brutally murdered in the death camps.
