The Scottish Senior Open returns to the home of golf at Fairmont, St. Andrews for the second time. The course, designed by Sam Torrance, has recently received a 17-million-pound revamp and this will be only the second professional tournament staged there since reopening. One of the premier tournaments on the European seniors tour schedule, the Scottish Senior Open boasts an impressive list of competitors, including Sam Torrance, Carl Mason and Ian Woosenam. The iconic event will host some of the most revered names in golf, as they compete for the coveted title. The over-50s event will take place from the 20th of August until the 22nd. Torrence, the winner in 2006, will look to triumph after finishing runner-up behind Glenn Ralph in 2009. But the 2002 Ryder Cup Captain will face stiff competition in what promises to be a talented field.
