This week on the Saturday Magazine programme John Toal celebrates all things American….Paula McIntyre cooks some finger lickin’ tasty ribs and we follow one man’s journey across the U.S. on three wheels. John explores Barack Obama’s Irish roots with Author Stephen MacDonagh and we have a look back in time at television archive from the 60’s which specialised on the quirky stories of life in Northern Ireland. Bee stings, dehydration, heat stroke these are just some of the common accidents and injuries that may occur this summer but a third of people have no idea how to provide basic first aid. Dr. Mark Taylor from St. John’s Ambulance is in the studio with the latest survey results and some sound advice.
