Ingmar Bergman-directed drama. After decades without contact, 63 year-old Marianne decides it is time to rekindle her friendship with cantankerous ex-husband Johan. But on her arrival at his country house, Marianne soon realises that she has walked into a minefield of family tensions. Johan, now in his 80s, is locked in a bitter emotional tussle with widower son Henrick, who in turn is having a power struggle with his young daughter Karin.
