The ungrammatical side of songwriting - in particular song titles - comes under Russell's didactic eye this week, triggered by the inclusion of the Burke and Van Heusen song You Don't Have To Know The Language on a new album of Lena Horne favourites. Thereafter, Russell parades a host of grammatical howlers, some intentional (You Can't Hardly Get Them No More; Your Feet's Too Big), some not (If I Knew you Were Coming I'd Have Baked A Cake; Where Are The songs We Sung). All together, they make up a pleasing listen and a good excuse for Russell to wag his professorial finger at the likes of Alan Jay Lerner, Noel Coward etc.
