Rogue Traders - 30/06/2010

Rogue Traders returns for a special one-off programme. Matt Allwright exposes two rogues whose antics leave their customers in danger - a chemical-wielding pest controller and an electrician who doesn't have a clue. Matt, with sidekick Dan Penteado, is on the trail of a pest control company after Rogue Traders received complaints about their shoddy work. The team call out a technician to a house rigged with bed bugs and secret cameras, and witness him spraying dangerous chemicals around with no concern for his customer's safety - or his own. He sloshes toxic pesticide all over bedding and also pours it down the drain - which is illegal. When Matt and Dan confront his boss, they have to move fast. Rogue Traders also goes after an electrician who doesn't know his amp from his elbow. When they ask him to perform a couple of simple tasks, he gets it dangerously wrong. He replaces a plug socket but neglects to earth it, which could prove lethal. Matt pops out to challenge him, and gives him the shock of his life.
