At the Murdoch's, Lydia is caught off guard when Lee phones to tell her the police want to go over his statement. She tells him to stick to their agreed story. Lydia is anxious when Amber opens the letter, revealing that Lenny wants to see her. Amber is upset that Lee has disappeared, as Lydia tries to insist it's for the best. Later, Amber sees Lee talking to Lydia in the street. Amber later presses Lee to tell her exactly how Ewan died. Lee is reluctant and manages to delay it. Desperate to get answers, Amber asks Malcolm about Ewan's death. Malcolm is ashamed that his lie is affecting Amber, but he simply nods when she asks if Lenny pushed Ewan. Knowing what Amber is going through, Lee wants to tell her what really happened, but Lydia insists she must never know. At Robbie and Hayley's party, Amber gets drunk and says she wishes Lenny had killed her and not Ewan. She tells Lee that she wants to be with him tonight and, although Lee feels the same, he tells Amber they can't do it and leaves. Amber tells Jen and Charlie that Lee has just walked out on her. Charlie confronts Lee and gives him some home truths. Meanwhile, Amber breaks down in front of everyone at the party. The next day, despite Lydia's protestations, Amber visits Lenny in prison. At home, Lydia waits anxiously and notices that Amber has left her phone. She reads incoming messages from Lee on Amber's phone saying that Lee needs to meet Amber to tell her the truth about Ewan's death; Lydia deletes the message. At the prison, a desperate Lenny insists he didn't kill Ewan - is Amber starting to believe him? Amber arrives home, but won't talk to Lydia. Lydia's worried that it's game over, but she's relieved when Amber tells her she can't believe anything Lenny says any more. Lydia sends a text to Lee from Amber's phone, telling him not to contact her again. Lydia suggests that they go away for a while to recuperate. Molly is trying to lure Bob into her web.
