Deek and Stella reconcile and things looks good until Deek feels pressure from Chris to prove his allegiance to their cause. Deek discovers Fraser is storing Heavenly Herbals stock in the community centre and points out this is against the rules. Murray is less than pleased with this and worries about his position, but Fraser manages to talk Deek out of reporting him to the council and promises Murray the stock will be removed shortly. Murray is unaware that Fraser is also selling stock on community centre premises. Chris is less willing to let go of this breach of council rules and tells Deek and the group that this is just another example of capitalism at work - they need to oppose this. When Stella mentions she is chairing a radio station talk about the plight of the homeless at the centre that day, Chris seizes the opportunity to make a stand and gain notoriety for their direct action group. Deek is less willing but can't find his voice and, eager to impress his new friends, he agrees to go along with their protests. Things get out of hand at the protest and the police are called. Things culminate when Deek handcuffs himself to the stage. Stella is horrified that he could ruin her big day like this but Murray urges her to talk to him - he's just a lost soul who is looking for new friends in Chris and Glasgow Direct Action, when his true friends are standing right in front of him. Deek wavers when Stella gives him an emotional pep talk and then when Chris acts in a menacing way towards Stella, he intervenes. Deek kicks Chris out of his life and he and Stella are reconciled again. Deek realised that what he was looking for was right under his nose the whole time. He's led away by the police for his part in the protest. Fraser is forced to apologise to his dad for inadvertently causing the disruption in the first place. Gordon remains frustrated with Hayley and Jack's blossoming romance. Hayley puts the frighteners on him when she suggests that if he pushes her to choose between the two men, Gordon might not like the answer. Gordon decides an alternative course of action is required. He finds his plan in the form of Iona who, unaware Hayley and Jack are an item, agrees to bolster Jack's 'flagging mojo' by sweet talking him and making him feel desired. Iona, fresh from her own mojo loss, is happy to help. Gordon keeps Hayley out of the way while Iona sets to work on an oblivious, and unresponsive, Jack. But as Hayley opens up about how much not only Jack, but Gordon means to her, Gordon realises he's made a terrible mistake. He tries to halt his plan but to no avail. Hayley and Gordon arrive at the pub just in time to see Iona and Jack get intimate. Hayley loses it and slaps Jack, devastated that he's proven Gordon right - he's a player and will never change. Iona lets Hayley know the truth of the matter and all eyes turn to a shame-faced Gordon. Hayley doesn't see how she can forgive him for this. Hayley and Jack reconcile but Jack is left feeling uncomfortable with how willing Hayley was to jump to the worst conclusion. Perhaps there's trouble ahead for these two. Malcolm and Jo are suspicious of Lee and Amber's odd behaviour in front of them but Amber tries to assure them she's fine and happy in Lee's company. Lee becomes increasingly paranoid that the locals are trying to split him and Amber up. His suspicions appear to be proven right when Joanne turns up and says as much. Amber gives her short shrift but Lee feels his point has been validated. They'll never be able to live a normal life as a couple in Shieldinch with all these busybodies sticking their noses in. Amber, now fully in Lee's thrall, agrees with him. They need to move - to France. As soon as possible.
