Lydia and Lee sign their statements at the police station and DI Rook tells an incredulous Lenny he's being charged with Ewan's murder. Afterwards Lenny insists to his lawyer Hamish that he didn't do it. Lydia and Lee are caught out when Lenny tells DI Rook that Lee is not really Lydia's son, and she accuses them of compromising her case by lying. A desperate Lydia reveals what Ewan told her about Lenny's previous victims. Malcolm is struggling to cope with what he witnessed. Gina, Scarlett and Eileen gossip about the incident but Jimmy tells them not to jump to conclusions. However they're all intrigued when a police forensics team go into the boatyard. The police uncover the bodies of Mary and Archie, but when DI Rook and DS Dewar call round to tell Liz their suspicions she refuses to accept the news. Gina, Eileen, Scarlett and Jimmy are shocked when Malcolm tells them that they may have found Archie's body, but Liz is upset that Malcolm has been spreading rumours that she doesn't think are true. When DI Rook shows Liz Archie's wallet, complete with an old photo of her in it, she breaks down and finally accepts that her son is dead. Malcolm is left to comfort Liz who blames herself for the way Archie's life turned out. Rook and Dewar are left frustrated when Lenny refuses to answer any of their questions about Mary and gloats that they can't pin anything on him. Malcolm is worried when he can't find Liz; he goes to the boatyard to look for her just in time to see the police packing away. He finds out that the police believe Lenny to be responsible but they don't have enough evidence to prove it. Lydia, Amber and Lee are worried when Hamish tells them Lenny might get bail. He also warns them not to lie about Ewan's death. Lydia tells Lee that they need to get their stories straight to ensure that Lenny goes down. They're momentarily scared when someone comes in their front door - but it's only a confused Liz. When Malcolm tells Gina and Eileen that Lenny may have had Mary and Archie killed they're stunned. They realise Liz may have gone to the Murdoch's as it was her old house. They arrive just as Lydia is admitting to Liz that Lenny did kill Archie. Malcolm is determined not to let Lenny get away with it and later turns up at the police station claiming he saw Lenny throw Ewan off the scaffolding. Daniel is nervous but excited about going to Ireland, but Marianne is preoccupied with how Lenny must be feeling. This leads to an argument and Marianne implies she won't be coming with him to see his family. Daniel admits to Joe that he needs Marianne by his side when he faces them, and later Joe tells Marianne that Daniel needs her. Marianne is shocked to learn that Lenny has been charged with murder. She wants to offer Lenny her help but she's frustrated when DI Rook refuses to let her see him. Daniel is surprised to hear Lenny has been charged with Ewan's murder and is furious when he finds out Marianne was trying to see him in custody. He decides to leave for Ireland on his own. Meanwhile Marianne tries to offer her sympathy to Lydia but is stunned when she is told her that Lenny is nothing but a cold-blooded killer, who also killed Archie. Realising she made a huge mistake, Marianne rushes to the community centre to see Daniel, but Joe tells her she's too late - he's already gone. She gets to the subway just in time to see Daniel about to leave on the subway. She pleads for another chance and Daniel relents. They agree to start again and leave together. Jimmy and Big Bob are shocked when Scarlett throws Molly out of the house and are reluctant to join in as she celebrates in the Tall Ship. However, Molly manages to manipulate Deek, Stella and Bob into letting her stay with them and soon has them waiting on her hand and foot. Molly tells them not to let Scarlett know she's staying there but after a while it becomes clear that Molly is a nightmare to live with. The final straw comes when Molly takes money from the kitty to buys drinks in the Tall Ship. Bob finally admits to Scarlett that Molly has moved in with him, Deek and Stella, and that she's making their lives a misery.
