As Eileen's Valentine's camping trip with Murray draws closer, Eileen moans to Gina, who is feeling uneasy about joining them on the trip. Ruth helps Gina think up an excuse to get out of the camping trip. She also tells her mum about her date with Gordon. Both Eileen and Murray are disappointed that Gina cannot make the camping trip - though for very different reasons! Eileen, armed with completely wrong attire and luggage, tries to be positive as she set off for the hills with Murray. Gina drives Eileen and Murray to the country, and laughs at Eileen's inappropriate hiking gear. Murray is sad that Gina is not joining them. Eileen keeps stepping in rabbit holes, and with wet feet and soggy shoes she's really struggling to enjoy the hike to their camping destination. After trying to make the best of things, Eileen finally admits defeat: she can no longer go on. Murray is forced to phone Gina. A short time later, Gina arrives to drive Eileen and Murray home, but as they embark on the return journey the car will not start and all three have little choice but to camp that night - in one tent! Murray offers to rig up a partition in the tent to allow some privacy, but Eileen is far from pleased with how things have turned out. In the morning, a fed up Eileen exits the tent and sees Gina and Murray enjoying the great outdoors: she is a little jealous. Much to Eileen's relief they are successful in getting a phone signal to call the breakdown service. As they return to Shieldinch, Murray thanks Gina for coming to get them and leaves Eileen to go off and have a hot bath. Eileen is deflated, unsure where things stand between her and Murray. In the salon, Robbie discreetly adds a card to the postman's pile. Jack, Robbie and Gordon examine their Valentine's cards. Ruth asks Gordon out for a Valentine's surprise. Robbie is surprised and jealous when Jack reveals Ruth is taking Gordon to see Chicago. Robbie uses Hayley to stir things up to thwart Ruth and Gordon's romantic evening. He tells Hayley that Ruth is a bunny boiler, and is delighted when he realises Gordon may have double-booked himself on Valentine's night. After a discussion with Jack, Gordon decides to cancel his meal with Hayley, but when he next sees Hayley he fails to do to so. When Ruth comes into the salon, Gordon can't bring himself to cancel their plans. Robbie fumes when Ruth puts Gordon's 'mystery' Valentine's card in the bin. Robbie stirs the pot and whips Hayley into a frenzy resulting in a confrontation between Hayley and Ruth. Hayley and Ruth confront Gordon as a smirking Robbie sneaks out of the salon. Hayley reveals that Robbie told her the double-booking was Ruth's fault. In the pub Gordon gives Robbie and piece of his mind and a chastened Robbie apologises to Hayley but still thinks Ruth would be a crazy mother-in-law! In the early hours, Ewan frantically searches the boatyard for Lee's mobile phone and eventually finds it. Ewan later returns home and is carrying bloodstained clothes when Lydia appears behind him. He nervously keeps them from her sight. Lydia questions Ewan about Lee. Lenny reassures Lydia and Lenny tells a jumpy Ewan he's proud of him for killing Lee. An increasingly anxious Ewan dumps the bloodied clothes in a wheelie bin. Later, Lenny appears at the Tall Ship just as a drunken Ewan seems about to confide in Father Mulvaney, who is clearly concerned about Ewan. Lenny takes Ewan aside, saying it was a mistake asking him to kill Lee, but if Ewan doesn't pull himself together he's a dead man too. Father Mulvaney is troubled by what he sees. In the morning, Ewan snaps at Amber when Lydia and Amber continue fretting about Lee. Lenny tries to reassure her, as an anxious-looking Ewan heads out. Shortly after, Lydia is thrilled to receive a text from Lee, and Lenny is curious. Ewan takes a call from Lenny, asking about the text Lydia received. Ewan tells Lenny he sent the text and that everything's fine. Entering Lenny's old flat, Ewan looks to the floor, where we see a bruised and battered - but still alive - Lee... Daniel receives some good news, but his joy is marred when he and Marianne clash over her continued interest in Lenny.
