With the memory of Charlie's knockout punch hanging over him, Innes starts his day pretending that everything is fine between him and Charlie. He convinces Charlie to stage a dinner for Amber and Jennifer, ostensibly so Charlie can try and seduce Amber but also so Innes can do the same to Jennifer. Jennifer herself is falling for Amber and Amber is playing it cool with Innes, despite still fancying him. At the dinner things don't go to plan for any of the four friends and they adjourn to the Ship. While there Charlie devises a new plan to get Amber to himself which involves Innes going home and pretending to lose his keys, forcing Jennifer to leave Charlie and Amber in the pub to go and open the door for Innes. Once home Innes turns on the charm and Jennifer, realising he fancies her, knocks him back. She explains that she is interested in someone else and that that someone else doesn't know. On the way back from the pub Charlie asks Amber out but she turns him down. Back at the flat Innes realises that the object of Jennifer's desires is Amber and makes a move on her just to spite Jennifer. The next morning when all is revealed a very unhappy Charlie and Jennifer cold shoulder Innes, and an embarrassed Amber rushes away leaving Innes all alone. A desperate Dunny approaches Lenny looking for some money. Realising that Lydia is watching, Lenny acts like Dunny's best friend and gives him money, knowing this will impress her. Encouraged by Lydia's seemingly positive reaction, a buoyant Lenny speaks to Father Mulvaney and tells him that he's going to renew his wedding vows with Lydia - he just needs to get Lydia to agree. He makes a grand romantic gesture outside Hola only for Lydia to knock him back. She tells Lenny that she's disgusted about the fact that he is helping Dunny because when she asked him to help find the son she had given up for adoption he didn't do a thing. Lenny's day then goes from bad to worse when the portacabin goes up in flames and he begins to have a panic attack. Marianne comes to his rescue and takes him back to the surgery where she advises him to take a good look at himself before he starts trying to win Lydia back. Back in the Ship later, a spark of an idea starts to take shape in Lenny's head - he will find the son Lydia gave up, thus winning a very grateful Lydia back. Deek returns from London with the news that his visit to his mum didn't go well. Stella is dossing in Lenny's portacabin which horrifies Deek. When he sees that she is drinking as well he tells her off and she reacts by throwing him out. Stella continues to drink and later puts her life at risk when she accidentally sets fire to the cabin. Deek arrives in time to save her and pulls her coughing and spluttering from the fire. Deek offers to put her up at his flat but it is clear that Stella doesn't really trust him. However they agree to meet later so Deek can take her round to the flat. When Stella doesn't show up at the agreed time, Deek goes looking for her, eventually finding her asleep in the boatyard. He finally persuades her to come back and stay with him. Back at Deek's, Stella starts to get on Bob and Nicki's nerves almost immediately. Ruth's morning brings a shock when she meets Ewan in her kitchen and realises that he has spent the night with Jo. Jo brushes aside any objections, leaving Ruth worried. Gina invites Jo and Ruth over for dinner in an effort to get Jo to see Romeo. Jo, knowing she's been put on the spot, reluctantly agrees. Later Jo calls off at the last minute, pretending to be sick. The next day Gina arrives to look after her 'sick' daughter only to realise that Jo avoided the dinner in order to spend the night with Ewan. Gina angrily has a go at Jo for ignoring her son but Jo snaps and screams at her mother to leave her alone.
