Richard Hammond's Blast Lab is an entertaining and anarchic studio-based science game show set in the surreal world of Richard's secret laboratory, found under the watermill of his fictitious country mansion. This time the action is centred around one of the science world's biggest mysteries - magnets. Two teams of budding young scientists test the power of magnetic attraction by attempting to attach a host of household objects - such as a metal colander, a pair of headphones and a stiletto-heeled shoe - to a giant magnet. Meanwhile, Normal Ken attempts to become a real-life superhero by building his own electromagnetic gloves in a bid to transform himself into Magnet Man. He doesn't have long to wait for his first assignment. When a magnetic photo of a cat becomes trapped at the top of a metal wall, he attempts to use his new invention to save it. But will Magnet Man be able to use the gloves to climb the wall and save the day?
