Nick Knowles follows the dramatic day-to-day work of the emergency services. An ambulance gets shunted by a car but its crew race to rescue another driver caught up in the same accident. The army boys rally round after one of their men is down but not out on the seafront, and the police investigate a mystery break-in at a nature reserve.
