Nick Knowles follows the dramatic day-to-day work of the emergency services. Paramedics are called out after a father suffers a serious fracture to his arm as he tries to warn his son about the dangers of using a treadmill. Coastguard Rescue airlift to hospital a woman diver who's come up to the surface too quickly and is dangerously ill with the bends. Firefighters are called to cut out a driver and passenger whose car has rolled three times on a motorway bank in torrential rain.
