Radio 3 Lunchtime Concert

In the penultimate Lunchtime Concert from Liverpool's St. George's Hall this week, two string quartets by Haydn and Schubert, performed by a fantastic American ensemble - the Pacifica Quartet. The concert, which includes Haydn's "Lark" quartet and Schubert's iconic "Death and the Maiden", was recorded in March as part of the Rodewald Concert Series Pacifica Quartet: HAYDN: String Quartet in D, Op.64'5 "The Lark" SCHUBERT: String Quartet No.14 in D minor, D.810 "Death and the Maiden".
