Radio 2 In Concert: Manic Street Preachers. Jo Whiley presents a special show featuring a homecoming gig from Manic Street Preachers live from Blackwood Miners' Institute in Wales. This is the first time Manic Street Preachers have played in their home town of Blackwood for over 25 years. Introduced on stage by Jo, Manic Street Preachers perform some of their classic hits and songs from their latest album, Postcards From a Young Man, in front of an audience of Radio 2 listeners. As well as hearing the concert on Radio 2 you can watch it streamed live online, and if you want more of this very special gig switch over to BBC 6 Music to hear the encore on Gideon Coe's show. You can also hear highlights from earlier in the day when the Manics showed Jo some of the sights of Blackwood and the band also talk to her about their approach to songwriting in a special acoustic session as part of Radio 2's Great British Songbook.
