Michael Berkeley talks to the BBC's Washington Correspondent Matt Frei. His family originally comes from Germany, and one of his choices is the Ode to Joy from Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, which he heard played many times during the fall of communism. His other choices include Mozart's G major Flute Concerto, Puccini's La boheme, Placido Domingo and Katia Ricciarelli in the love duet from Verdi's Otello and the Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra from Venezuela playing an excerpt from Mahler's Fifth Symphony.
