Private Passions

02/12/2007

Michael Berkeley talks to John Nickson, Director of the Tate Foundation, and previously Director of Development at ENO, who has spent much of his career dealing with the sensitive issue of arts sponsorship. Opera is clearly a passion of his, and his musical choices include excerpts from Wagner's Die Walkure and Berg's Wozzeck, as well as symphonies by Sibelius, Bruckner and Elgar, a Bach cantata, and a piano piece by Janacek.
