Poetry Slam - Series 2 - Episode 1

The first of two semi-finals from the Radio 4 poetry competition, in which spoken word performers from all around the country battle it out for the title of Radio 4 Slam Winner 2009. Hosted by poetry performer Dreadlock Alien and recorded at The Bluecoat in Liverpool. Nine regional heats have been held, from Exeter to Edinburgh via Birmingham, Belfast, Brighton, Newport, Newcastle, Manchester and London, with two performers from each heat getting through to the semi-finals.
