Petroc Trelawny presents a concert given at London's Queen Elizabeth Hall, with pianist Stephen Kovacevich performing Beethoven's Diabelli Variations. It was the piece that made Kovacevich's international reputation as he burst onto the scene in 1969. The programme also features Bach's Partita No 4 and Schumann's kaleidoscopic Kinderszenen, with movements including Blind Man's Bluff, Knight of the Hobbyhorse through to his famous Dreaming.
