Presented by Martin Handley. Imogen Cooper brings together some of her musical friends to help celebrate her sixtieth birthday on stage at Wigmore Hall, London. She has selected some of her favourite music and takes the role of accompanist for the majority of the evening. She is joined by baritone Wolfgang Holzmair and tenor Mark Padmore in songs and duets by Schubert, Schumann and Mendelssohn, before cellist Sonia Wieder-Atherton teams up with her in Janacek and Schumann. The celebration concludes with Schubert's piano-duet masterpiece, the Fantasie in F minor, in partnership with Paul Lewis.
