Performance on 3 - Dvorak, Martinu - Part 1

Live from City Halls, Glasgow. Presented by Catherine Bott. In the third concert in its Bohemian Rhapsodies series, the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra is conducted by Stefan Solyom in the most substantial of Dvorak's symphonic poems, a graphic musical portrayal of a Czech folk tale. It was composed right at the end of the composer's life, like the following piece, Martinu's Fifth Piano Concerto, which features young Czech pianist Ivo Kahanek.
