With Petroc Trelawny. Two premieres feature in this concert given in Liverpool as part of the city's European Capital of Culture programme. Italian conductor Marcello Bufalini has reconstructed Mendelssohn's 3rd Piano Concerto, and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic's Composer in the House and former chorister at Liverpool Cathedral, Kenneth Hesketh, contributes his first major commission for the orchestra.
