Papillon

Drama about a French petty crook, wrongly convicted of murder, who becomes obsessed with escaping from prison. His repeated attempts at breaking out land him in solitary confinement, where he is determined not to give in to madness. Finally, he is condemned to the notorious escape-proof prison on Devil's Island, built on sheer cliffs. But he is not deterred and plans one more escape - which may cost him his life.
