The bobsleigh competition gets under way at the Whistler Sliding Centre with the first two runs in the two-man bob. Germany's Andre Lange, who won the two-man and four-man titles in Turin, is back for more and few would bet against him adding to his incredible haul of 17 career world and Olympic medals. Commentators are Paul Dickenson and Colin Bryce. In short track there's live coverage of the women's 1500m and men's 1000m finals. In 2002, Australia's Stephen Bradbury memorably won the men's 1000m by taking advantage of a four-man crash on the final turn to move from last to first. The man who won silver on that occasion, Apolo Anton Ohno, is gunning for gold this time. Commentators are Hugh Porter and Wilf O'Reilly. In ski Jumping, medals in the large hill competition will be decided today and Austria's Thomas Morgenstern will be back to defend his title although his young compatriot Gregor Schlierenzauer is the sport's rising star. Look out also for Simon Ammann, who is back eight years after winning two Olympic golds in Salt Lake City.
