Hazel Irvine hosts coverage from Vancouver. In short track, the men's 1,500m takes centre stage and there could be a fascinating match-up between Turin silver medallist Lee Ho-seok of Korea and five-time Olympic medallist Apolo Anton Ohno of the USA. Ohno won gold in this event when it was first held in 2002 and he is bound to have a lot of support here, given that Vancouver is just three hours from his home town of Seattle. Commentators: Hugh Porter and Wilf O'Reilly. The moguls produce a mixture of high speed racing and acrobatic aerial jumps. The 2006 women's final was won by Canada's Jennifer Heil and she could have the chance to win a first ever home Olympic gold. Commentator: Ed Leigh. All eyes will be on Armin Zoeggeler as the men's luge gets under way. The Italian has won medals at the last four Winter Olympics, including gold at the last two. Leading the challengers will be 20-year-old German Felix Loch, who is the reigning world champion. British hopes will rest chiefly with AJ Rosen, although his hopes of a medal must be considered slim. Commentators: Paul Dickenson and Colin Bryce. In the men's 5000m speed skating final, Chad Hedrick is back to defend his crown. Hedrick's gold in Turin was one of three medals won at those Games by the American, although the 32-year-old has been struggling to match that form this season. The favourite is Dutch world champion Sven Kramer, who has dominated this event since winning a silver medal behind Hedrick at the 2006 Winter Olympics. Commentators: Hugh Porter and Wilf O'Reilly.
