Hazel Irvine hosts live coverage from Vancouver. The first of the two days of the women's bobsleigh takes place. Day one involves two runs and British fans will be anxious to see how Nicola Minichiello and Gillian Cooke fare. The pair caused an upset when winning the 2009 world title and will be looking to prove that was no fluke. But up against them will be the German crew led by Sandra Kiriasis, who is the defending champion and one of the sport's dominant forces. Commentators: Paul Dickenson and Colin Bryce. Steve Cram and Rhona Martin have news from the last day of the curling round-robin stages, with David Murdoch's British men's team facing 2002 gold medallists Norway. The top four teams advance to the semi-finals and Great Britain, the current world champions, will expect to be there. Elegance and athleticism go hand in hand in the ladies' figure skating, which gets under way at the Pacific Coliseum with the short programme. South Korea's Kim Yu-Na will start as favourite and the 19-year-old is sure to have extra support as she lives in Canada. Fellow teenager Mao Asada of Japan is back in form and could prove to be Kim's biggest obstacle to gold. Commentators: Sue Barker and Robin Cousins. There is also the men's 10,000m speed skating final, live from the Richmond Olympic Oval. World champion Sven Kramer is the strong gold medal favourite; the 23-year-old Dutch star is already a celebrity in Holland and looks set to create more headlines here. Commentators: Hugh Porter and Wilf O'Reilly. This programme is also available on the BBC HD channel and digital viewers can access more live coverage of events via BBCi on the red button and broadband.
