Great Britain's hopes rest with Scotland's Caitlin McClatchey in the 200m freestyle, while American Michael Phelps is the one to beat in the 200m butterfly. And in gymnastics, the first women's medals of the games are decided. Britain missed out on the final, as China dominated qualification by winning five of the six events. USA and Russia are expected to provide the Chinese team with the strongest challenge for the gold medal.
