Clare Balding introduces coverage of the penultimate day of the games. In the men's mountain bike, Britain's Lewis Killeen and Oliver Beckingsale will be amongst a tough field striving for Olympic glory. Killeen finished fifth in Athens, but defended his Commonwealth Games title in Melbourne two years ago and should figure in the hunt for medals. Beckingsale claimed Commonwealth silver behind Killeen and will be hoping to improve on his 17th place finish at the last Olympics. With coverage of canoeing finals, including the men's and women's K1 500 and K2 500 and men's C1 and C2. Britain's Lucy Wainwright will have hoped to have qualified for the K1 500 final. In the taekwondo at the Beijing Science and Technology University Gymnasiumm, British attention is focused on Sarah Stevenson competing in her third Olympics and aiming to improve on her fourth placing in Sydney. Plus, coverage of the synchronised swimming team free final. Russia has won gold at the last two Olympics with Japan in the silver medal position on both occasions.
