Nina and the Neurons: In the Lab - Fragrant Flowers

Logo for Nina and the Neurons: In the Lab - Fragrant Flowers

Scientist Nina and her young Experimenters discover the amazing ways that things can change and react in our everyday world. Nina investigates why flowers smell so nice. Experimenters Henry, Rosie and Nicola visit Nina in her science lab and use their senses to discover that not all flowers do smell nice. Then they do an experiment to show that smells can be made by mixing things together, which is what flowers do. Then they visit a beautiful garden and meet some very busy bees, who collect nectar from flowers to make honey and find out that flowers use their lovely smells to attract the bees. Finally, back in the lab, they discover that by mixing smells together you can come up with a new, different smell which helps the flowers attract the bees and insects who help them make more flowers.
