As part of the BBC season on Charles Darwin's work, Rana Mitter hosts a programme exploring his legacy, along with two other important figures of 20th Century thought - Karl Marx and Sigmund Freud. In 1950 there would have been no question that it was Marx and Freud who were shaping the world to the greatest degree, but 60 years later the tables have turned - and Darwin is apparently the figure with real influence on our age.
