New Generation Artists - Elias Quartet, Tai Murray, Mahan Esfahani

A quartet and a duo: members of the Radio 3 New Generation Artists scheme perform music by Corelli and contemporary composer Carl Vine. The UK-based Elias Quartet performs the Australian composer's 4th Quartet, an exploration of conflict without resolution; and turning the clock back three centuries, American violinist Tai Murray and Iranian-born harpsichordist Mahan Esfahani pair up to perform Corelli's elegant Violin Sonata in D minor, op. 5 no. 7 Carl Vine: String Quartet no. 4 Elias String Quartet Corelli: Violin Sonata in D minor op. 5 no. 7 Tai Murray (violin) Mahan Esfahani (harpsichord).
