On January 24th, 15-year-old Stephen Lewis became the first teenager to die from knife crime in 2009. Just weeks earlier, he had agreed to be interviewed about knife culture for a documentary with his friend, Okemena, but before he could give his interview Stephen was dead. This film gives a rare and intimate insight into those who live with the reality of knife crime by following Okemena and the friends, brothers and sisters of two teenagers killed at the start of the year in the aftermath of their friends' deaths as they try to make sense of the violence around them, revealing the codes, pressures and bloody feuds of street life that make it so hard to avoid.
