As we look back over 2009 in music, we compare it to 1969 and find a number of parallels between the two pivotal years. In '69 The Stooges set the Punk Rock ball rolling, the Jackson 5 and Led Zeppelin release debuts, and Dave Grohl is born. In '09 Iggy Pop appears in a distinctly un-punk insurance advert, Michael Jackson's death dominates the news arena, and Grohl and Zep bassist John Paul Jones team up to create the supergroup of the decade.
