Tom Robinson tells the story of German singer Fritz Wunderlich, from his humble origins in Freiburg to his premature death at the age of 35 in 1966. Wunderlich was a natural lyric tenor, who excelled in opera, Lieder and lighter repertoire. His recording of Granada is still considered unsurpassed. Contributors include tenors John Mark Ainsley and Ian Partridge and pianist Iain Burnside.
