In 1974, buoyed by the success of their BBC TV series, the Monty Python team decided they would have a go at making a feature film. Disregarding the fact that they did not actually know how to make a movie, they decided they would write and direct it themselves. In this candid assessment of their first film, John Cleese, Michael Palin, Eric Idle, Terry Gilliam, Carol Cleveland, Neil Innes and producers Mark Forstater and John Goldstone explain how Monty Python and the Holy Grail managed to secure a place among the classics of British cinema, despite a catalogue of disasters that befell the project at every stage. Narrated by Ashley Jensen.
