MotoGP - 2010 - Round 8 - Sachsenring

Jennie Gow is in Germany for round eight of the 2010 MotoGP. The 2.2 mile Sachsenring circuit, situated between Leipzig and Dresden in the east of the country, has a deep history with racing held there since 1927. In 2009, eventual world champion Valentino Rossi held off a determined challenge from his Yamaha team-mate Jorge Lorenzo to take the chequered flag by just 0.099 of a second. The dramatic victory proved enough for Rossi to extend his lead at the top of the championship to 14 points. Spanish rider Dani Pedrosa claimed third place that day ahead of Casey Stoner.
