Do we value our armed forces enough? The Ministry of Defence is to double the level of compensation offered to the UK's most seriously wounded troops. Is that a fair return for laying your life on the line? And will it be enough to encourage people to stay in the army and attract new recruits? There's been much discussion this week about the possibility of Mrs Thatcher being given a state funeral.
