In the first of a series of programmes looking back at the big phone-in debates of 2009, Nick Rougvie looks at Christianity and its battles over sexuality. In May, a fifth of all Church of Scotland clergy signed an online petition against the appointment of an openly gay minister to Queen's Cross Church in Aberdeen. The Reverend Scott Rennie tells Graham Stewart how he coped being at the centre of a debate which caused huge splits in the Church. We then hear your reaction. Are our religious institutions an inviting place for people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender? Or should we have more respect for people's faith and beliefs?
