Campaigners think the expansion of Scotland's airports is "plane stupid". Are they right? Seven protesters who secured themselves to the tarmac at Aberdeen Airport this morning have voluntarily released themselves and been taken in to police custody. They were campaigning against any expansion of the airport, claiming it would lead to more harmful carbon emissions. A spokesman for Aberdeen Airport branded the action "dangerous and highly irresponsible" after the departure of an air ambulance was been held up for a short time.
