Gary Lineker presents highlights from the Premier League as the 2009/10 season gets under way. The previous season's top two, Manchester United and Liverpool, play a day later, giving their challengers the chance to steal an early march. One of the most intriguing matches sees Manchester City visit Blackburn Rovers. City splashed the cash in the off season, and Mark Hughes, who used to manage Blackburn, will want his new stars to justify their huge price tags from the start. Arsenal face a tricky opening day fixture at Everton, who finished just one place below the Gunners last season. Chelsea host Hull, and Aston Villa, who began last season in excellent form, entertain Wigan. New boys Burnley are at Stoke, who finished a creditable 12th in 2008/09, which was their first in the Premier League. Wolves are the only one of the promoted teams to start their top flight campaign at home: they host West Ham. In other games, Fulham, who were so impressive last season, visit Portsmouth, while Sunderland are at Bolton.
