All 20 teams played today as the remaining issues at either end of the table were finally decided. Defending champions Manchester United hosted Stoke at Old Trafford, Arsenal met Fulham in a London derby, and Chelsea's pursuit of a first league title since 2006 concluded at home to a Wigan side that beat the Blues in the reverse fixture. Burnley's debut season in the Premier League ended with the visit of a Tottenham side that has spent the season striving for a top-four finish. Manchester City also set out this season to earn Champions League qualification and finished their campaign at West Ham, who have endured a difficult time on and off the pitch. Meanwhile, Liverpool were hoping to finish strongly against lowly Hull.
