Chelsea played host to Aston Villa, who humbled the Blues in September by beating them 2-0. Tottenham look to take maximum points against Fulham after letting a 3-1 lead slip at Craven Cottage earlier in the campaign. Derby faced Liverpool for the first time since losing 6-0 at Anfield - revenge for that aside, the Rams would be grateful for any points as they fight for Premier League survival. Roy Keane welcomed Manchester United to Sunderland's Stadium of Light, whilst Arsenal took a Boxing Day trip to Fratton Park, looking to complete the double over Portsmouth. Everton and Bolton also met at Goodison Park.
