Coverage from South Africa as European champions Spain begin their Confederations Cup campaign against Oceania Nations Cup winners New Zealand. Spain are the world's number one ranked team in the world and will be looking to demonstrate that fact in Rustenburg, twelve months ahead of the 2010 World Cup finals, which are also taking place in South Africa. Since their European Championship success, Spain have continued to trail-blaze their way across Europe and are unbeaten in 31 competitive fixtures since November 2006. This is their first taste of the Confederations Cup and the first experience of international competition for new boss Vicente Del Bosque, who took over from Luis Aragones last summer. New Zealand have taken part in two previous Confederations Cups but have yet to win a game.
