Adrian Chiles introduces highlights from the day's two big Barclays Premier League matches: Liverpool versus title rivals Chelsea, and the north-east derby between Newcastle United and Sunderland. Liverpool's clash with Chelsea promised to be one of the most important matches of the season. Liverpool are looking to complete the double over Chelsea, having ended the Blues' 86-game unbeaten run in the league at Stamford Bridge in October. The two sides have monopolised the Premier League top spot in the current campaign. However with Manchester United now back in the title hunt, both Rafa Benitez and Luiz Felipe Scolari will have been desperate for three points. The day's other game between Newcastle and Sunderland would have been no less fiercely contested. There was more than local pride at stake, with both teams needing precious points in their battle to avoid relegation. The Black Cats claimed their first Tyne-Wear derby victory for eight years when they beat Newcastle in October. However just over a month later, manager Roy Keane walked out on the club. There is also a chance to catch up on Saturday's Premier League goals.
