Crank the volume up for three hours of rare musical treasures from Mark Lamarr's own record collection. This week, country blues artist Pete Molinari joins Mark in session at Maida Vale with a sneak preview of his third album. A country blues artist hailing from the Medway Delta, Pete Molinari spent his childhood listening to Billie Holliday, John Coltrane, Leadbelly and Bob Dylan. Finding it difficult to settle in a job, Pete headed to New York for what was meant to be just a month. Two years later, after travelling around the USA and honing his musical skills playing at the bars and cafés of New York's Greenwich Village, Pete finally returned to these shores. On his return to the UK, Pete got together with fellow musician and poet Billy Childish and recorded his debut album Walking Off The Map in his kitchen on an old Revox tape machine. The album was released in 2006 to much critical acclaim.
