Marc, some records and a live session by Glasgow's State Broadcasters. Not your average indie band the State Broadcaster's sound combines harp, banjo, guitar and ukelele with string and brass sections and 3 part harmonies.. The band developed out of a chance encounter in a Glasgow library in 2004. Picking up members as they've gone along they won the Danny Kyle award for Best New Act at Celtic Connections in 2006 and supported acts such as the The Handsome Family and Damien Jurado. Signed to Glasgow indie institution Electric Honey the band released their debut single 'Let's Make T-Shirts' was in April 2008. Their first full-length release 'The Ship and the Iceberg' came out in March 2009 Electric Honey is a record label run by students studying the Music Business course, as at Stow College in Glasgow, Scotland. Its previous releases include the first recordings by Belle & Sebastian, Snow Patrol and Biffy Clyro.
