An actor extraordinaire joins us this evening - Christopher Eccleston, plus live a live band are in the studio to provide musical magic - The Burns Unit ... a Scottish super group!! Christopher Eccleston will be in the studio with Marc helping him choose the music for the show ... so if you're wondering what the ex Dr Who is into, musically, now's your chance to find out!!! There's bound to be some I Am Kloot and more than likely some Richard Hawley. Christopher Eccleston is a Salford born lad and fab actor. He has appeared in hit TV shows Cracker, Our Friends In The North and Heroes. His film repertoire includes Shallow Grave, Elizabeth & The Others. Interestingly he's only recently passed his driving test and can only drive an automatic car - so there. The Burns Unit are an Eight-piece "supergroup" featuring: award-winning folk singer Karine Polwart; alt-folk royalty King Creosote and indie queen Emma Pollock plus Indo-Caledonian pop artist Future Pilot AKA; elegant multi-instrumentalist Kim Edgar; drummer/producer Mattie Foulds; energetic piano-man Michael Johnston (both from Canada) and virtuosic rapper MC Soom T. Side Show is their new album released August 2, 2010. We may not get the whole 8 in for the session but we'll be grateful for whoever we get.
