Marc presents a rip roaring hullaballo of a show .. Marc presents a rip roaring hullaballo of a show .. with Dutch Uncles live in session. Tunes old, tunes new and tunes not so old and not so new - hope you're tempted to listen! We would say that Dutch Uncles are one of Manchester's hottest new bands but they're actually from Marple which is really part of Stockport. Given that Delphic and Egyptian Hip Hop are also from Marple that probably makes it the new Brooklyn Four of the band (Pete, Robin Andy & Sped) met at primary school with singer Duncan joining at High School. They made their debut as Dutch Uncles at Manchester's Night and Day supporting Riley favourites Metronomy. They then recorded an album in two weeks for German indie label Tapete, although the band regard their proper debut as still in the works. They're between singles at the moment ('The Ink' came out in May, their next single 'Fragrant' comes out in the Autumn) and they are about to spend the next few months on tour supporting the likes of Sky Larkin and Everything Everything. A good night out guaranteed we reckon.
