Marc ends his week with a return visit from breezy indie popsters Your Twenties. Rob Hughes drops in to drag Marc into the Parallel Universe and there are archive session from Six By Seven (at the behest of Chris from the band), Traffic, Wah and Buy of the Bar. Your Twenties' second single has arrived and so has your perfect summer soundtrack. Their debut single, Caught Wheel, was released last November and became a late contender for single of the year. Their next offering, Billionaires, is released on Neon Gold Records (Passion Pit, Marina & the Diamond and Wolf Gang) next month and will feature artwork done by the band themselves. Billionaires is produced by the legendary Stephen Street (The Smiths, Blur) and with the swooping, sunshine harmonies, big, driving guitars and catchy "ooh-ooh-ooh" chorus, it manages to sound like perfect West Coast pop whilst remaining quintessentially British. Originally, the bassist and keyboardist in Metronomy, frontman Gabriel Stebbing recently left to concentrate on Your Twenties full time. It was an amicable split with Joseph Mount from Metronomy heading into the studio with the band to help produce their first album tracks. With inspiration coming from Elastica to picture-postcard days out, Your Twenties are definitely ones to keep your eye on.
